Birds

Bertram isn’t usually a bird-watcher. Brandi says it is because he hasn’t any patience. However, I have too much thinking to do to be able to sit for long times doing nothing.

Bertram thinks that he also saw other finches and tits than depicted here, but they were earlier in the week than he has organised the photography.

It was interesting to see that only tits ate the peanuts and only finches, and the nuthatch, the other seeds.

The wind caused the feeders to sway so that they are not always a sharp as Bertram would like.

It is good of the owner to keep the feeders supplied all the year as it must cost them a lot.

Bertram may not have identified the birds correctly as he had to compare pictures on the internet. You can see that the birds were quite a distance away and that the photos are quite zoomed.

A whole flock of about 15 or so Goldfinches were constant visitors. The ones not on the feeder flitted about the tree.

The nuthatch was always head down so he was easy to spot.
